'Exmoor Customs' is owned and run by Rob, who started the business in 2003 as a response to the ever increasing number of people asking him to design and build them custom motorcycles. Rob's interest in bikes began in his mid-teens, (the early 80's). He has had many bikes featured in different custom bike magazines over the years, and has always been at the 'leading edge' of custom bike design, with his radical ideas, designs and solutions to engineering problems. Gareth Brown, magazine editor and journalist, describes Rob in a magazine article as "renowned.... for his diverse experimentation in the field of motorcycle design". Chris 'Desperate Dan' Ireland describes him as "a REAL engineer, a visionary and a craftsman." Every build that Exmoor Customs has ever undertaken has either been featured, or has been offered a feature in, at least one of the international custom motorcycle magazines. In fact, a photo of the rough mock-up is usually enough to reserve a feature upon completion, should the purchaser wish it, such is Exmoor Custom's reputation within the custom motorcycle press. This 100% feature rate is one that very few other custom builders can equal. So if you want something out of the ordinary on 2 or 3 wheels, 'Exmoor Customs' is the place to go. Of course, 'normal' custom work is undertaken with equal enthusiasm!
